The light fall-off in Echternach was considerable - near the windows the light was still decent, but the tables in the farthest corners were much darker. The colour balance also changed at every table, which was a manageable issue since I shoot in RAW format and can losslessly correct that in Photoshop later. I used the 135mm lens exclusively, almost always at f/2 (maximum aperture).

I still remember how someone told me that table tennis was challenging to photograph, since the ball was so small and fast that it was very hard to get a picture of the players with the ball visible. While I couldn't call it an easy task, I didn't have any major problem though, and came away with more good pictures than I normally submit to the newspaper on an assignment.
